Still Life
Charys is a visual artist from Northern Ireland, now based in Berlin. Over the past few years Charys’ work has focused on society’s modern day relationship with nature, how we’re becoming more disconnected from nature and often over look and underappreciate the beauty/importance of the natural world.
She presents her views using photographs, pencil drawings and large-scale drawings in conté crayon and ink, creating images with areas of detail juxtaposed and contrasted with areas of quiet space, where fragility and absence coexist.
