The exhibition  Colligere  presents a selection of works by Sophie Patricia Chapman, Stefanie Denz, Laura Di Piazza, Philippe Internoscia, Angela Matera, Joanna Mortreux, Hugh Rennison, Steven Seidenberg and Uzma Sultan realized during their winter residency at Takt Kunstprojektraum. Ranging from painting and installations, to video, photography and writing, the works on display  represent a vibrant cross-section of new art and are to be seen for the first time.

The participant artists come from various cultural and artistic backgrounds and have never  collaborated  or exhibited  together before. Moreover, there is not a  predetermined theme for the residency and every artist has carried forward their research in total freedom during the time spent in Takt.
Therefore, the show responds to the challenge of establishing a dialogue among these different positions. Rather than being presented apart and independently, the oeuvre of each artist is split up  through  the two exhibitions' rooms and juxtaposed with the works of the others. In such a way, a continuous and porous space is created, in which new and unexpected relationships  can  emerge. It is a space of experimentation and surprise where the individual exhibits  keep their meaning  as discrete units and are, meanwhile, part of a visual narrative. Thus, each work and artistic position gets a chance to be enriched by new shades, without losing its peculiarity and  autonomy. Moreover, works resulting from the collaboration between artists of the residency will be on show, tracing the connections established by the participants during their time spent in Takt.
