Lotte’s focus is to create surreal representations of the body as a means of connecting physical and emotional realities.
Incorporating printing, illustration and painting into her practice, Lotte references various styles of storytelling from fairy tale inspired imagery to Japanese art and anime through line and colour.
In doing so the images become allegories of the slipperiness between reality and fantasy, pain and pleasure, chaos and calm.
