Growing up in a turbulent place*, I am fascinated by failures of conflict management.
In any society we are provided with frameworks to exist within.
These architectural and sociological structures keep us protected and calm, but can also generate anxiety; a desperate laboring for normalcy.
They can feel oppressive and artificial.
Or silly, like standing in front of hundreds with your arms upin the airport X-ray scanner.
They can save us from embarrassment. They often cause it.
Using absurd humor and mechanical forms, I replicate glitches in our given frameworks:
Repetition, misunderstanding, the moments before a tiny catastrophe.
