I love to delve into the environment and find ways to create artwork that is a response to the sensory experience of being there. I strive to notice the easily overlooked and fleeting moments that are the essence of the natural world. I am especially drawn to birds and aim to represent them as I experience them in the moment. My work includes a combination of different medium including paint, print, collage, drawing and installation. I enjoy the interface between art and science and use a quasi-scientific approach to the gathering of data, recording sound and creating images. Through my art practice I want to draw attention to the voice of the natural world and to the momentary encounters.
