In general, our current view of the world is dominated by images ,we all are bombarded with them via the various media. We are made to form opinions by what we are fed; pictures of war, catastrophes, elections.
In this show: WAHRNEHMUNGEN/PERCEPTIONS
We are not talking about disparities between monocular and binocular vision, interrogating the ways in which artists depict three-dimensional space on a two-dimensional surface. Rather,”durch jedes Kunstwerk schimmert Weltanschauung.*1
For the first time (since the making of an image), paintings and other artful productions have truly become the expression of Weltanschauung, a “view of the world, in the most literal sense of the term. The artist views the world, to explain it for its real context, its truth.”*2
