Joy Song is a filmmaker, sound designer and photographer, working between Boston and Singapore. She is a recent honors graduate from Boston University, specializing in film and anthropology.
Joy’s works aim to culture ideas about the human condition through thematic explorations into psychology, philosophy and mortality. Her contemplative, imagistic style allows for her metaphysical preoccupations to find a potent voice in film. Be it photography or film, she strives to demystify abstract and cerebral topics by distilling them into intelligible and engaging storylines.
Over the past year, she has worked in Los Angeles in the fields of film development and concept design. Her works have been featured on iGNANT, Sound Vision Magazine and Harvard University’s Southeast Asian showcase.
