Mikaela Conley is a New York-based journalist and writer who is currently working on her first novel. Mikaela is also a fellow with the International Reporting Project, where she covers peace building efforts in Tanzania, and in 2015 and 2016, she was selected as a UN Foundation press fellow, where she reported on women’s health challenges in Indonesia and Uganda, respectively. She has master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University and is particularly interested in exploring the complexities of memory, poverty, guilt, and the idea of purpose in her writing. Mikaela is also founder of The Daily Saint, a blog meant to restore readers’ faith in humanity by focusing on stories of people doing good things for one another.
