My name is Hannah Plowright and I am a multimedia artist practicing in Oakland, California. In my art practice, I use my surroundings as a source of inspiration: architecture, the flora, the fauna as well as the local culture, noticing how people’ s environments influence their realities. Recently, I have been wanting to revisit places from my childhood, specifically Germany, to pay homage to the spaces that have influenced me over the years. I think that by doing a Takt Residency, not only would I create this dialogue with my past, but I would be able to capture my experience through my art.
